And the results are in....
Well, you are now looking (or reading about) at the newest member of the medical staff at the UDC. I found out a few days ago that I got the EMT job I applied for. I start on Monday and I am pretty excited. Also, nervous, anxious, worried, and also happy. I'll have to let you know how my first days are...hm...Anyway, I am still going to try and do the Volunteer FF thing as well, we shall see. Bye for now. :)

One more thing down....
Well yesterday I had the extreme pleasure of taking a 4 hour test and then meeting with the phsycologist. They asked questions about speeding, family life, drinking/drug use, stealing, lieing, cheating, etc. etc. but they asked the same questions (or one worded very similarly) over and over about 1,075 questions in all. And to top it off, it was the fill in the little bubble kind, so your hand cramps just a bit. Then today I had to go and have a polygraph test done. Not as bad as TV and movies make it out to be, but still intimidating. So....now we wait some more to find out. At least I made it through one more step. Talk to you soon:)

So far, so good...
Well, we made it through the first days of school. YAHOO!! Josh is actually loving J.H. besides the first day of missing the bus coming and going from school (oops). Oh the lessons we learn. Jacob has a great teacher who has been teaching for 18 yrs, loves the kids, is also his choir teacher, and is in the YW with me in our ward. I guess I'll be keeping pretty close tabs on him this year.;) Josh has great teachers all around and is excited about all the learning he will be doing. We will be attempting 2 science fair projects this year (any ideas???), several projects in history and english, and Josh will be learning how to cook, sew, pick a career, and some woodworking and metal shop (in his CTE class), and hopefully learning a little spanish along the way. Ole!! All in all it has been fun for them to see their friends again and be away from mom, he he. Hope everyone else has had a great starting week...take care :)

Whoa nelley....
So, last Tuesday I went for my interview for the UDC job I applied for (EMT-I/Corrections Officer). It started out with a 2 hour written test that asked math, spelling, grammar, and other great and inspirational questions. Then after passing that, I had an oral interview with the head nurse, doctor and supervisor that is over all of medical. Then after passing that I had to do 6 push-ups (the boy ones) and 20 sit-ups in 1 min. followed by a 1.5 mile run. The temp. outside during the run was only 98 degress :(, but I made it in 12 min. 25 sec. which was a passing time (had to do it under 18 min). Now it is off to meet with the phsycologist (does this have a spell check, I stink-ola at spelling) and have a polygraph test. Yeah for me....I'll let you know in a couple of weeks.
By the way, hope you are having fun at your scout overnighter Josh, I love you. xoxo

Memory Game
I thought this little memory game is kind of fun. I like trying to think of little memories I have had with people.
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory you have of me or of us together (If I have been horrible, please disregard this part of the exercise). It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people have a memory about you. It's actually pretty fun to see the responses.
P.S. This memory can include any or all of the members of my family (Jason, Lenore, Joshua, or Jacob).
